About 50 congregation members joined us for our annual Beach Day trip on August 10th at Seven Presidents Beach, about an hour and fifteen minutes from Parsippany. The weather was perfect that day. The cool water on our feet and the warm sun above created a heavenly experience! When I felt chilly, I lay on the sand and covered myself with warm sand—it was incredibly comforting. I highly recommend trying it out yourself. The best part came next: a delicious array of prasadam, including veggie burgers, hoagies, sandwiches, handvo, pav bhaji, and more. After our tasty lunch, we enjoyed soothing kirtan by the ocean. We even received smiles from passersby who stopped to listen, which felt like a wonderful way to share the love of Krishna Consciousness. Plus, it’s the only time of the year when we can splash water on each other, even the elders, without any consequences! Don’t miss out next year!
