If these thoughts continue to fester, then it can turn into depression or worse. These are signs of a weak mind. Is your body feeling aches and pain? These are signs of a weak body. The solution? Take steps to strengthen the mind.
Each of us are on a battlefield in which there are challenges, obstacles, and different things we have to navigate. Krishna begins to give insights into how to live an empowered life. This comes from living a regulated life. If there’s no regulation, then there’s no balance or routine. In the sixth chapter of the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna says regulated habits of eating, sleeping, working and recreation counteract all physical and mental pain. We can take an inventory of all aspects of our life and evaluate if we’re missing something. What kinds of things are we seeing, hearing, eating, and doing?
We can strengthen our mind by entering the mind gym through chanting every morning, which will upgrade, uplift, elevate and clarify our mind. We can incorporate some movement and strength, and take time to learn and read something new. Eventually we can build a powerful life where we don’t just create a life that looks good, but feels good too.
