ISKCON of NJ held their annual Ratha Yatra festival at its new temple location in Parsippany NJ on June 29th, 2024. With the dedication and support of neighboring temple communities, thousands were able to partake in one of the Lord’s sweetest pastimes. The vibrant festival was brimming with excitement and joy for everyone involved. The great acharyas confirm that the path of liberation is paved for the person who sees the deities of Lord Jagannath, Baldev, and Subhadra on a chariot. The first Rath yatra outside India was initiated by A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada on July 9, 1967 in San Francisco, CA. The Lord of the Universe, Lord Jagannath, now parades in cities across the globe, including New York, London, Paris, Durban, and Rome, bringing joy and spiritual enrichment wherever they go.
